How the split works
01
Layer decomposition
The image goes to Seedream 5.0 with layer decomposition on. The model detects each element (instance segmentation), returns it as its own RGBA image with a bounding box and a name, and returns a background with the covered areas repainted (amodal inpainting).

Assembly in your browser
Your browser places each layer at its box on the background and writes the PSD, ZIP or PNG locally. Nothing is assembled on a server.

How do I remove text from an image without messing up the background?
Split the image into layers first. The text is cut onto its own layers and the area behind it is repainted, so hiding those layers leaves a clean background instead of a blurred patch.
Can I delete the text and fill in what was behind it automatically?
Yes. You do not paint over anything: every line of text is detected, separated and the background under it is filled in. You only choose which text layers to hide.
Can I remove just one line and keep the rest?
Yes. Each line or block of text is its own layer; hide only the ones you want gone.
What images does it work best on?
Designed graphics: posters, flyers, banners, thumbnails, social covers and product images. Very small, dense text can come back grouped as one block.
Can it remove a date stamp or a logo from my own photo?
Yes, on images you own or have the right to edit. In our test (2026-10-05) a camera date stamp and a corner logo on our own product photo each came back as a layer of their own; hiding it left the table and the sunglasses filled in. The objects are redrawn by the model, so fine detail and contact shadows can change slightly. Removing watermarks from images you do not own is not a use LayerPSD supports.
